Modalities & FAQ
Goal:
The individual subject areas are developed independently by the students on the basis of recommended and independently obtained literature. The results are to be presented in the form of a lecture followed by discussion and written elaboration. This should provide the student not only with specialist knowledge but also with independent working and presentation experience in front of a larger audience. Attendance is compulsory during the seminar! This applies in particular to the first appointment. Participants are obliged to write a protocol for each lecture (one A4 page: topic, duration, content, discussion points). Randomly selected participants must submit this protocol in electronic form as LaTeX and PDF files within one week. Further details will be provided at the first meeting.Procedure:
Assessment criteria:
Seminar presentations will be evaluated according to the following criteria. A minimum of 0 and a maximum of 9 points can be achieved per criterion. The maximum score is 45.Grade scale
Important Remark:
If deadlines or modalities are not met or insufficiently met, a negative assessment is automatically made. Up to the short presentation the notice of departure is possible (by email to Peter Schartner) without further consequences. Subsequent unsubscriptions lead to a negative evaluation.Hints for the Seminar:
