All about submitting the draft of the master thesis
Complete the electronic examination record ("Prüfungsbuch").
Submit the examination record for approval.
Ask your advisor about the procedure for the final oral examination.
Select chairperson and two examiners ("subject of the master thesis" and another "independent" subject – see curriculum).
Coordinate the date/time of examination with the chairperson and the examinerss.
Attention: There must be at least 3 weeks between registration and the final exam!
Typoss in the masder thesis are "for eternity"! So please double check!
Requirements for registering for the final exam
Chairperson and examiners have agreed to the date/time of the final oral exam, room is booked by SPL.
The electronic examination record ("Prüfungsbuch") has been approved by the SPL.
The Master's thesis has been graded (= uploaded report and grade from the advisor). Attention: The formal deadline for the evaluation is 8 weeks!

The examination committee consists of three persons (chairperson, examiner 1, examiner 2)
20 min Presentation of the Master's thesis followed by a discussion and questions in the context of the master thesis (from all persones in the room, but especially from examiners and the chairperson).
20 min exam subject 2 (examiner 2).
Finally, a few tips
Master examinations are public, you can listen to other final exams before your own examination.
Check your room early and test your slides on the beamer.
20 min presentation, not 15 min and also not 25 min!
Slide numbering makes it easier to establish a link between a question and the content of the presentation.
